Ward 2 Community Meetings
I’m happy to share that starting on Monday, January 26 from 6:30-7:30 pm, Ward 2 residents are invited to a Community Meeting via Zoom. Topics will include a welcome and introduction from me, the City's response to the shooting tragedy at Brown last month, a discussion about 311 and related alert systems, and updates from Providence Police and Fire departments.
I plan to hold Ward 2 Community meetings on the last Monday of each month. Exceptions to this schedule are in May, when we will hold the meeting on Tuesday, ay 26 to accommodate Memorial Day, and August, when we will not hold a community meeting due to City Council’s summer break.
I am starting these community meetings as remote gatherings via Zoom to allow for more access and safety. I am happy to hear your input about whether you’d prefer Zoom or in-person meetings in the months to come, as well as topics about which you would like to learn more.
